Margaret and Paul Woodman will meet you at Windy Gap when you arrive. They live nearby, and will help you with any questions you have, either before you arrive or during your stay.

Is Windy Gap suitable for children and pets?
Windy Gap is suitable for children, and a cot can be provided on request.
One house-trained dog is allowed in Windy Gap. No dog is allowed on furniture or in any bedrooms. Guests are asked to ensure their pet is supervised at all times and must on no account be left alone in the house. No other pets are permitted at the property.
Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellations are possible only up to 8 weeks before your reservation. Refunds will not be made if the cancellation is less than 8 weeks before the booking, so you are advised to take out your own insurance.
Can we arrange grocery deliveries to Windy Gap?
Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose deliver to Windy Gap – please let Margaret know if you arrange a delivery on your arrival day. Your shop can be unpacked for you on your arrival.
Are there shops or restaurants nearby?
The nearest shops are a 5-minute cycle or drive away.
Ainsdale Village has a large Co-op and small Tesco. Formby has a large Waitrose, an Iceland and a Marks and Spencer Food Hall. Formby Bypass has a large Tesco. Birkdale has a small Sainsbury’s. Southport has a Morrison’s Superstore, a large Sainsbury’s and an Asda Superstore.
The Sparrowhawk is a popular pub that serves food, and is a 30-minute walk. A restaurant for every taste can be found in Ainsdale, Birkdale and Southport.

Is there parking?
Yes, there is free parking for up to 4 cars. Windy Gap is a short walk away, along a path through the woodland. Luggage can be dropped of at a gate nearer the bungalow.
How near is Royal Birkdale Golf Course?
Royal Birkdale Golf Course is 5 miles away. Ainsdale Station is only a mile away from Windy Gap, with frequent trains reaching Hillside—right next to Royal Birkdale—in just 3 minutes.
